Jio Platforms Reports First Quarterly Earnings Since Listing

Jio Platforms has announced its quarterly results for the second quarter of financial year 2026-27, marking its first earnings disclosure after listing on Dalal Street on 28 October 2026. The Reliance Industries-backed telecom operator reported consolidated net profit attributable to owners of ₹8,389 crore, a 13.7% rise from ₹7,379 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. Sequentially, profit rose from ₹7,764 crore in Q1FY27.

Revenue from operations stood at ₹40,475 crore, up 11.4% year-on-year from ₹36,332 crore. EBITDA came in at ₹21,879 crore, reflecting annual growth of 16.6%, which the company attributed to revenue growth and operating leverage. Average Revenue Per User rose to ₹218.8, with the company noting that promotional schemes for fixed broadband customers offset gains from a better subscriber mix and higher usage.

Operationally, per capita data consumption was 44.2 GB per month, while total data traffic grew 22.1% year-on-year. Monthly churn was 1.6%, and net subscriber additions during the quarter totalled 9.1 million. On the market side, the stock closed 0.57% higher at ₹1,431.20 on BSE, giving it a market capitalisation of ₹13,17,996.49 crore. Its listing debut ended nearly 27% above the ₹1,119 issue price, making it the second-most valuable domestic firm by market capitalisation.
